There has been a major construction boom in the University District. Due in part to fit the ever-growing needs of students attending UBC-O. As one of the top 40 ranked universities in the world, it continues to rapidly grow its numbers. There are now over 9000 students enrolled at the last count.

Housing options aside there are also new hotels slated for development and two that are currently in operation. The proximity to YLW makes this area a great place for food-service businesses, and other service-based businesses.
Nearby you’ll find the luxury community of Quail Ridge. Quail ridge is home to the Bear and Quail golf course. This is a very popular spot for visitors to the Okanagan. The University District has great options for transit as well as a main connection point thru to North Glenmore, Ellison, and Lake Country.
